Claims Reporting Tips
Your claim is important to us!
Claim service is our most important job and you can expect
prompt, courteous and fair treatment by our professional claim
staff.
Follow these steps after a loss occurs:
Step 1 – Protect your property from further damage
- tarp damaged roofs
- board up broken windows
- shut off water following plumbing system breaks
- clean up and remove discharged water (to eliminate mold or
other additional damage)
- make those repairs immediately to prevent further damage
- DO NOT discard damaged items (keep available for our
inspection)
Step 2 – Contact your insurance
AGENT immediately
(information listed on front of policy)
- advice agent of date, time, and nature of the loss
- contact us directly at 1-800-766-7642 if your agent is
unavailable
Step 3 – Get an estimate
- obtain a detailed repair estimate from a contractor you plan
to use for repair work
- for personal property....prepare an inventory of
lost/damaged items (age, cost, etc.)
